Calling all students aged 13+ in South East London – your poster could become our official campaign artwork! Prizes to be won!

What's It About?

We're inviting students aged 13 and above across South East London to take part in an exciting design competition as part of this year's Ask About Asthma Week and our #BreatheEasyPlayHard campaign.

Create a poster that raises awareness about asthma and shows how the Digital Health Passport (DHP) app helps young people manage their asthma—especially those who play sports and want to stay healthy and active.

Key Themes for Your Poster

Your design should highlight one or more of the following:

  • Inhalers and how to use them properly
  • Taking control of your asthma
  • The role of the Digital Health Passport app
  • Importance of asthma action plans
  • Positive and empowering messages for young people

Who Can Enter?

  • Students aged 13+
  • Must attend a school within South East London
  • One entry per student (schools can submit multiple)

How to Submit Your Poster

Your poster must be A4 size – either hand-drawn or digital (AI-generated designs welcome – but no copyrighted images please).

Deadline: 15th August 2025 (extended from 30th June 2025)

(Please name your file clearly with your full name and school – e.g., JaneSmith_SpringfieldHigh.jpg)

You may be asked to send us your original design if you win.

Prizes

  1. 1st Prize: £200 gift card + £500 for your school's PE/sports equipment*
  2. 2nd Prize: £80 gift card
  3. 3rd Prize: £50 gift card

*To be eligible for the school prize, your school must support the Breathe Easy, Play Hard campaign through activities like:

  • Displaying the winning poster
  • Running an asthma awareness assembly
  • Sharing the campaign in newsletters or on social media
  • Supporting asthma awareness in PE / PSHE / Sports clubs

About the Campaign

This poster competition is also part of our wider #BreatheEasyPlayHard campaign – designed to support young athletes with asthma and help all young people feel confident managing their health using the Digital Health Passport.

Judging criteria:

Posters will be judged on the following:

  • Creativity & Originality
  • Relevance to Asthma Awareness & Self-Management
  • Clear Messaging
  • Overall Impact & Design

Terms & Conditions:

1. 13 years and above can enter. You must attend a school within the South East London area.

2. Whilst the winning individual will win a gift card as specified above, the winner's associated school may be eligible to win a £500 prize which must go toward PE/sports equipment.

3. By submitting your design, individuals agree that winning artwork may be used in public-facing materials.

4. The £500 for the school must be used specifically for PE and sports-related equipment or initiatives.

5. The funds are intended to support the "Breathe Easy, Play Hard" campaign, which promotes asthma awareness and inclusive physical activity for all students, especially those managing asthma.

6. School Involvement Requirement: To claim the school prize, the winning school must agree to participate in the Breathe Easy, Play Hard campaign.

7. The winning school will be publicly acknowledged through our campaign website, press materials, and social media.

8. The winning student and school will be notified on or around the end of August/early September. Schools will have 30 days to confirm how the funds will be used in alignment with the campaign.

9. All decisions by judges will be final.
